Evaluate the Source!

Remember... ANYONE can publish stuff online!! Things you see on the Web may not always be true. Here are some links and tips to help you decide if a site is a good source:

  • Is the site's purpose clearly stated?

  • Is it published by a known, reliable source?

  • Is there a way to contact responsible parties?

  • Are there obvious errors, such as spelling?

  • When was it last updated?

  • Does it contain lots of advertisements?

  • Is it easy to find the information you need?

DON'T FORGET: Always Credit Your Source!!!
