Paris-Bourbon County Public Library offers a variety of electronic resources that can assist with your education, allow you to stream audio and video, or download ebooks and audiobooks to your preferred device. Choose a resource below to learn more.

Brainfuse HelpNow™ provides learning solutions for users of diverse needs and background. Students can communicate with live tutors using an interactive whiteboard to chat, write, draw, copy/paste text or images and graph homework problems. Asynchronous services give users the freedom to get assistance at any time of the day without connecting with a live tutor. Brainfuse Now also offers study tools, collaboration tools, and an Adult Learning Center.

Educate Station is an educational resource offering curriculum materials for Pre-K through 5th grade. It is designed by educators and provides a multitude of weekly and monthly lesson plans, worksheets, and activities across various subjects. Educate Station covers subjects including English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Art.

Hoopla

Hoopla is an on-demand collection of movies, TV shows, eAudiobooks, eBooks, and more downloadable content. Download materials directly to your computer, tablet, or smartphone and stream to any smart device. An unlimited number of patrons can borrow the same title. No holds, no waiting!

Kanopy

Kanopy is an on-demand film streaming service. Stream indie films, foreign language films, documentaries, classic cinema, and more by downloading the app to your mobile device, computer, or smart TV. Special collections include Criterion Collection Films and The Great Courses. To register for a Kanopy account you will need your library card number and pin.

Kentucky Virtual Library (KYVL)

The Kentucky Virtual Library is a consortium of over 300 institutions, including schools, universities, and libraries throughout Kentucky. KYVL is created to empower students, researchers, and librarians by providing comprehensive access to various databases, peer-reviewed journals, ebooks, practice tests, and other informational resources. There are resources for K-12, college, and professional skill levels covering a wide array of topics, such as business, health, career training, historical research, and more!

  • Log in to the Library Catalog.
  • Click My Account in the top right corner of the catalog.
  • Sign in using your library card barcode or your email address (if it is on file), along with your PIN.
  • Follow the prompts for KYVL access from anywhere.

To access New York Times news while in the library, click the access link and create an individual New York Times account. To use other New York Times products (Games, Cooking, Wirecutter, or The Athletic), follow the outside access instructions below or ask for help at the circulation desk.
